yo guys! i'm in school now...

really enjoyed practising with y'all on sunday! prayed for each of you this morning as i read the requests below. :]

did devotions on the way to school.. and just wanna share with you guys what i read this morning.

"If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honourable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work." - 2 Tim 2:21

as i read this verse, i imagined myself as a tool that's imperfect and unsharpened. alone, i can't fulfil my intended purpose... i'm an object meant for a purpose to be fulfilled only when i'm used, and only when i'm subject to Someone greater who knows how to use me.

as i start school, God reminds me that He'll "use [His word] to prepare and equip His people to do every good work." (2 Tim 3:17) and Paul tells us how to be a special tool for honourable use by God-- by "keeping ourselves pure"- which is to flee youthful lusts, and pursue after righteousness, faith, love and peace.

this one below is one of my fav verses :]

"Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend." -Prov 27:17

let's allow ourselves to be moulded and shaped and sharpened by God and by our friends who love and care for us :]

God bless you guys!!!! more fruitful practises to come!

(will send the recording of the other 2 possible songs we may sing, if my amateurish mixing doesn't sound too weird. paiseh, i still need time to record... hehe. giving myself a deadline... thursday. y'all are my witnesses. haha..)

Belated Fathers' Day....

1 Thessalonians 2:11
For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children.

AH!!! We, actually I (Cynthia), forgotten about Fathers' Day presentation. And again, we came together last minute, and put together a medley of two songs, Here I am, Lord, and My life is in You, Lord.

We are thankful to God for the fatherly figures in church. Some have their struggles at home, but they still continued to persevere and serve readily in church.
Some have pastored, counsel some of us, of which we are thankful for their guidance and love.

It is our prayer that our fathers will continue to keep close to the Lord, and be a light and salt that Jesus has called them for..

It's also the first time, i got Sister Karina to help record us. Here's the video. It's recorded from a mobile phone so...

anyway, enjoy....

Blessed Birthdays!

Proverbs 31:30
Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.

We presented another special item on 14 March 2010, Lord's Day. This time, it's for Aunty Maureen (Jocelyn's mum) and Aunty Wendy (Rachel's mum).

We did a mixed of In the Garden and O Rejoice in the Lord.

We thank God for these two mothers who had both juggled home, job and service in church.

Perhaps the girls themselves would like to post comments more on this =)

Theme: Love

John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

We next presented at Galilee B-P's Song Service on 27 Feb 2010, with the theme: Love.

We sang "So You would come" and "Follow Me". =)

"Follow me" was meant to be A Capella, but hee, I (Cynthia) was so last minute (as usual) in sending them the audio files to practice, so in the end, we sang with guitar.

Rachel was on piano for "So You would come".

More updates coming up!

Working In Progress

John 3:30
He must increase, but I must decrease.

This group started their first meeting on 11 October 2009.

Many different people were approached by Cynthia (centre) to form this group, in the end, Jocelyn (bottom right), Jasmine (top right), Rachel (bottom left) and Shaun (top left) responded positively and eagerly.

The group's focus for singing worship and praises are:

- To encourage fellow brethrens in their walk of faith
- To reach out to the lost souls through songs

The first presentation was on 31 December 2009, Galilee B-P Church's Watchnight Service. We sung a cover of "For All You've done" by Don Moen. We presented this item on behalf of our church friend, who has 4th stage cancer, but is always thankful to God for all He has done. Her testimony is precious to each and every one of us.

We thank God for this opportunity to present on her behalf, and we prayed for more opportunities in the future.

Please pray for our group, as we venture further:

- God's guidance and leading in the direction of this group
- Trained in having discipline to walk with God, punctuality, commitment, nothing self-glorifying but ALL GLORY TO GOD.
- God will mightily use this band to glorify God, edify fellow Christians, and bring the lost sheep home.
